Bloomington Meats II, LLC

Our story begins in 2019 as we were in the process of dispersing our dairy herd and Steve was not ready to retire.  The opportunity came to purchase the meat plant and while Steve was ready to jump in with both feet, Lou Ann was a little more reluctant.  Lou Ann works as a full-time accountant and was battling breast cancer at the time.  Steve has been around slaughter and butchering all his life, so none of this was new to him.  With Lou Ann’s accounting experience, she knew the business side, therefore it seemed like a good fit.  After some discussion and thought, we purchased the plant and opened our doors May 1, 2019, as Bloomington Meats II, LLC.

We purchased the business knowing we wanted it to be a family business and look to our family to help us whenever possible.  We have been married 43 years and have three children: Adam (Angie) Adrian, Emily (Dan) Lilla and Greg Adrian (deceased).  We have six amazing grandchildren: Erin, Evelyn and Easton Adrian and Nolan, Chloe, and Blake Lilla.

Our vision is to continue raising home grown cattle on our farm, Adrian Ridge Farms LLC, and market those cattle through the meat plant to provide a true ‘farm to table’ experience.  While most of the cattle come from our farm, we also work with other local farmers buying their cattle and pork.
